If you’re reading this right after I publish this post, you might just be hiding from a talkative relative from tonight’s festivities and making yourself busy by browsing through my blog. No? Just kidding.
I just realized that I wasn’t able to shoot any outfits appropriate for all those holiday parties you’ll be going to, like tonight’s Noche Buena. I’m greeting everyone instead with this set of photos, where I actually liked the pretty back-lighting, making my look more festive.
I only hope to be this fit when I get back from the holiday vacation. Every week since the start of December is just party after party, each one with tons of good food and drinks, including the alcoholic kind (free flowing sangria even!). It’s like December is cheat month, and I can totally relate with the hashtag #NoShapeDecember, a spin-off from No Shave November.
Well anyway, back to my look, I was still on that sportswear for casual wear thing going on. I received this crop top with a cute jersey number print, and I had no idea what to pair it with when I remembered this maxi skirt!
I ate at a good restaurant that day, so it was a good thing my maxi hid my belly, while my crop top wasn’t to fit to reveal anything unsightly. Yay for me!
For that pop of color, I added on the prettiest studded clutch from Michael Kors. I haven’t used it much, but thought it added a lot of attitude to my otherwise plain look.
Another pop is also introduced by my dark lip, which I’m sporting a lot lately. If you can’t layer in this weather, go fall-inspired with makeup! My dark lippie color is the only thing that you can link to Fall-Winter in this whole look.
For my shoes, i’m currently loving these studded ones. I found them comfy, and at a reasonable height.
There goes my non-holiday look, I’ll make it up to you guys next year, when I’m finally allowed to wear red again!
How’s the Christmas season going for you? For me, it’s that wonderful time of the year when friends and family gather, have reunions, eat lots of good food, and take loads of photos, all the while making many happy memories.
Sometimes, those reunions are even opportunities to travel. In my case, I’m travelling with my family to visit more relatives! I go overseas usually once a year, and with all of my travels so far, I’ve come up with things to take note of and my travel must haves.
WHAT TO BRING
I always tend to bring pieces that are good to mix and match, to minimize the luggage space used. Outerwear which are neutral colored are always a great option, as well as basic tanks and pair-with-anything jeans. Always put a classier, sassier option just in case you end up going to a fine dining restaurant or go to a special event. Just make sure the dress is a lightweight one, and preferably wrinkle free.

A great packing tip is the use of these packing cubes. I had these personalized last year as gifts for my friends, but I also have a set of my own. I like how you can keep your clothes folded properly in these cubes and not worry about them getting jumbled or excessively wrinkly inside your huge luggage bags.
2. Multi-functional Accessories
Sunnies are really must haves when you’re going to the beach or any tropical country like ours. I usually match my sunglasses to my outfit, so I end up having more sunnies than I actually need.
Thankfully I found these sunnies with switchable lenses so I don’t have to bring more pairs with me, and save more luggage space for shopping!
For this trip, I’m bringing this Danella bag from my favorite social enterprise, Rags 2 Riches, Inc. I mentioned before that this happens to be my favorite style in their latest Ampersand collection, and I finally got one after waiting so long for them to replenish stocks!
It’s great to invest in bags like these because it’s convertible to different styles! Fold to turn it into a smaller sling with extra colorful pocket. Unfold to make it longer and store more things, and use the pouch as a clutch if you just want to bring the most essential items out. See? Such a great find right?
You can also opt for bigger roomier bags if you like having everything in one bag. Say a big tote to keep your DSLRs, tablets, as well as travel guides or books, umbrellas, makeup kits and also water bottles.
I prefer sling bags because I find them easier to carry around, or a backpack for heavier items.
3. Skincare essentials
If you’re going anywhere with a colder climate, never ever forget about bringing skincare essentials like intensive moisturizing creams.
photo from Rhea Bue (rheabue.com)
For my toiletries, I like to store them inside these cute toiletry kits, with matching small plastic containers for shampoo, liquid soaps, lotions. I usually just bring those small bottles from previous hotel visits so I don’t have to buy pocket sized versions of my hygiene essentials.
photo from Beabi (beabi.com.ph)
I usually bring 2 cameras for my trips ever since I got my Fujifilm Instax 7s Camera. I love using my Instax for special moments like my travels, so I also bring extra film.
Aside from my DSLR, extra memory card, extra battery and charger, I also bring a kit to store all those wires, as well as those for phones and tablets.
It’s also great to have a universal outlet adapter when travelling because countries like Korea and Japan have different outlets from those in ours.
5. Personal Documents and Travel Guides
I love to keep a travel journal so I can look back on my adventures as references for future visits and referrals for other people going on the same trip.
Bring travel guides are good too if you don’t have a local to tour you around the place. I usually browse through a travel site, compare notes with printed ones, and then decide which places to include in my itinerary, then create a schedule for my travel journal.
For your travel documents, keep them in one travel wallet, like your passport, boarding pass, tickets, stubs, and any other important documents, so it’s easier to take them out through the airport or anywhere when documents are needed.
Always remember to do online check-ins if your airline offers that to confirm you’re actually going to get on that flight. Checking in online also gives you the option of picking seats ahead of the actual checking in at the airport counters.
Your in transit wardrobe should be fuss free but fabulous! Let’s be honest, business class tickets aren’t cheap, but if you’re hoping to get a free upgrade on your flight, dress the part! The airline won’t let you sit with their top paying clients if you looked like you just rolled out from the bed.
Travel insurance would be great if you can spare money for that. If you’re scrimping on that though, you have to bring a medicine with great options. I personally put basics in my kit, vitamins, some medicine for cough and cols, as well as for stomach issues.
I don’t advise overdosing on Vitamin C because out bodies only absorb until a certain extent, taking more than that will do you no good. It is good to invest on your immune system though, because travelling sick is no fun, and costly. I suggest taking Conzace because it has the essentials, and is really affordable too, about 12.40 pesos for each capsule.
So, there you go, my tips and must haves for your inner wanderlust.

See you after the holidays!

“A happy woman is one who has no cares at all; a cheerful woman is one who has cares but doesn’t let them get her down.” – Beverly Sills
I’m feeling exceptionally cheery today. Nothing really happened, I’m just in a good mood for some reason. So to match my happy disposition today, I’m sharing one of my more candid shoots to date.
My look is very normcore, generic top, skirt, and Birks. Since my outfit was very plain, color came from my very dark lip. I also love the details of my top btw. It’s a hand me down from my aunt, and the top is actually from Disney, at the close up shots you’d see expressions by Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, etc. beside the buttons!
I really have a thing for details, so even if the top looks so plain from a distance, I still love it’s charm. Also, I wore this to the Best food Forward bazaar, since I was expecting to eat a lot of food, the loose, very anti-fit top was perfect to hide that stuffed belly. haha
Afterwards, we tried shooting inside Hatch22, a photogenic cafe at Powerplant Mall. The staff let me take some photos without interruption. More cafes should be like this, photo-friendly!
I made a lot of faces in this shoot, and these are the more acceptable ones for posting. haha
More jump shots!
Well, that’s it, this is just another post on how to rock normcore, and still looking pretty. haha
My hair in all its Balayage ombre glory. I’m still so happy Azta Urban Salon got my hair peg right!
Whenever there’s a special gathering, a new place to explore, or any special milestone in my life, I always bring my Fujifilm instax 7s camera. I love having a pocket friendly memorabilia of that special moment, so I make sure to take a photo of that, whether staged or candid.
When an invite for Instax Wanderlaunch came, I said yes without hesitation. I love the brand, and learning more about it as well as getting updates about everyone’s favorite instant printing film cameras are definite plusses. To celebrate the holiday season, FUJIFILM Philippines Inc. is pleased to unveil not only new camera prices but also new Instax cameras; the instax Mini Hello Kitty, instax wide 300 and more color variations of the much loved instax mini 8, and mini 90 Neo Classic.
The event was held at the very pretty very dainty Vanilla Cupcake Bakery at Trinoma. I actually dressed to suit the cute cafe! I even joked a few times that I belong! Some of the wallpapers were very similar to my floral printed skirt.
Cupcakes overload!! We enjoyed the cupcake buffet, set on top of these pastel drawers, filled with equally pretty flowers!
Our hosts for the event were Paul (@paultheprguy) and Nikita Conwi. They were both so enthusiastic with everything, and so game!
Meet Team Young Wild Free! Haha. The guests were divided into two groups, and I was grouped with these hyper people! Admittedly, I was one of those embarrassingly hyper participants of the games. Too bad I didn’t win anything, if only there was a prize for best in cheer. haha.
I mentioned that they were revealing some exciting things, right? Now, let’s get right on to it!
Fujifilm’s Instax Mini 8 Instant camera now has 2 vivid, fun colors added to the current lineup: Grape and Raspberry. They’re both matte by the way, love them! Also, in time for the gift giving season, the Instax Mini 8 now costs Php 3,699 from the previous Php 4,199!
For those who like experimenting with double exposure, the Instax mini 90 Neo Classic would be great for you. Goo news is, it’s now available in brown and also has a price drop to Php 7,990 from Php 8,990!
Then the new Instax Wide 300 (left)! In comparison with the older model (right), the new one can be attached to a tripod and has a sleeker design. For those who like bigger films, instead of the wallet sized ones from the Instax mini line, Instax wide would be great for you. It costs Php 6,999.
Then the moment every girl in that cafe was waiting for, the new Instax Mini Hello Kitty! Fujifilm created this one to celebrate the 40th anniversary of our favorite Japanese iconic fictional character, Hello Kitty! The camera features a 60mm move in/out type lens and comes with a 0.37x real image viewfinder. With a 0.6 – ∞ focus range, the Instax mini Hello Kitty camera has 1/60 sec shutter speed and constant firing (auto light adjust) flash which has a range of 0.6m –2.7 m. It also has a built in mirror that is perfect for self portraits (selfie friendly!).
Say hello to Mr. Takuya Maeda, Fujifilm’s Division Head for Electronic and Photo Imaging. He was the one who described the new features for the new designs! He was soooo funny, I wish he was my boss. When the Hello Kitty tarpaulin behind him fell down, he actually said, “Oh, Hello Kitty suicide.” Everyone was laughing so much because of his antics.
The new Instax mini Hello Kitty is priced at Php 4,999 and comes in a package. The package includes: instax mini Hello Kitty, camera strap, hello kitty stickers, and limited edition hello kitty instax mini film. Currently, only 200 of this will be available in the country, but if the demand becomes higher, they’ll bring in more Hello Kitty units!
This is me listening intently to the amazing Mr. Takuya Maeda, I swear, he’s currently one of my career pegs right now.
Instax Share ambassador Verniece was also at the event, and I love how the Hello Kitty Instax Mini suits her so well.
With Janeena Chan, all around host, model, blogger and everything in between. I knew her way back because she used to be my sister’s classmate in high school before she transferred to another one in her junior year.
I don’t know about you guys, but this Instax Mini Hello Kitty is definitely on my wish list this year. It’s sooooo cute!!!

This shoot is another one of my risky (buwis buhay) shoots. For the sake of a good photo, I went to this construction area filled with pebbles. I was wearing high platformed stilettos, so the ground I was treading is very shaky.
I almost fell down a couple of times, thank God I have strong legs to keep my balance. Seriously though, I won’t be doing this again anytime soon, I had a hard time keeping a decent face while struggling with balancing and posing.
Anyway, I got this lace multi-way top a few weeks ago, and since it was particularly hot that day, I decided off-shoulder was the way to go.
To go with the boho vibe of my top, I wore a gold boho head band to spruce it up.
Then I brought back this overused printed circle skirt, which you’ve seen loads of times here in my blog. I just thought the colors went well.
Strappy white gladiators would have also worked well with this look, but since I don’t have that, I went with something in the same color family. So my mint shoes it is!
Don’t you think my look gives that gypsy vibe? I’m sure Esmeralda would be proud. Or maybe I need more jingling bangles to complete the look?

Coinciding with the opening of H&M and Uniqlo in SM Makati, the SM Store unveiled the new Beauty section boasting 2500 square meters of the biggest global beauty brands, as well as local ones.
The SM Store Beauty Section underwent a major facelift, shedding off the old generic looking beauty counters and replacing everything with a more glamorous, luxurious feel. The newly glammed up place perfectly fits the luxury global brands it currently houses, making it great for people with exquisite tastes.
Honestly, I was overwhelmed when I entered the beauty section. I was so amazed with the number of well-loved brands that came in. Now, the SM Store Makati Beauty Section has almost 200 beauty brands.
This photo does not even cover half of the whole space!
The space is divided into sections for easier browsing, Cosmetics and Skin, Body, Hair, and even a Men’s Zone!
The Cosmetics and Skin section houses brands like Kiehl’s, Shu Uemura, MAC, Clinique, L’Oreal and so much more.
Don’t you just love the Shu Uemura lash bar? I want one of those bears!
The MAC area is big as well, with a lot of counters, and filled to the brim with their bestselling products.
I really love L’Oreal’s spacious corner, complete with an Eiffel Tower replica! A lot of the guests had their ootds taken there.
For fragrances, the luxury lineup consists of Prada, Lalique, Fendi, Paco Rabanne, Amouage, among others.
My blogger friends Ava, Tina, Chessika and I loved the Paco Rabanne counter because of the fun game! They had us drink shots of non-alcoholic beverages and guess which are the ingredients used in the Eau My Gold scent! I was so happy I got the answers right at one go! The Eau My Gold scent is made up of grapefruit, mango and orange flowers, perfect for anyone who likes fruity floral scents.
Ava and I wanted to take home this Moschino display! the little carousel with the colorful perfume bottles are just too cute!
For nail care, the best of the nail brands are represented by Ciate. Alessandro, and Sally Hansen.
My favorite has to be the Alessandro counter, because of the Striplac line!
Alessandro’s Striplac is the world’s first peel off gel polish! I’m so excited about this one because I love gel polish but hate the hassle of taking it off. Striplac has all the benefits of gel polish being long lasting, chipless, super shiny, and nourishing.
I had the pleasure of being the first one to try out the polish at the new SM Store Beauty Section, this one being Alessandro’s first branch! Tina, Chessika and I were all excited to try it out.
Striplac actually has a package promo where you get one polish, a top coat, a base coat, and the LED polish dryer in one for only Php4500 (for a limited time only). I know it sounds pricey, but it’s super worth it! If you follow me on Instagram, I actually shared that my manicure didn’t chip even after boxing for three times! Also, the LED lamp is actually more eco-friendly than the UV lamps, and more conservative with energy.
The guarantee with Striplac is that it stays until 10 days, I tested mine out, and it stayed for 9 days, not bad since I boxed a lot in that week. I also got to peel off mine already, and it was super easy, you can literally peel off the whole polish in one go.
As mentioned before the SM Store Beauty Section is divided into distinct categories for easier browsing.
I like how they specifically put a Men’s Zone, and with a great range of products too! My other blogger friends Michael and Rodel both loved the options for the boys.
If you guys noticed, the SM Store Beauty Section will not only house upscale brands, but also offer services like free makeovers, hair styling, nail art, skin analysis and tutorials. Such a far cry from the previous version.
For the Christmas season, the Beauty Section has a lot of gift sets available for your beauty aficionado friends. If you’re not done Christmas shopping, I suggest getting one of these gift sets for your friends and family.
I had fun at the opening with these girls!

I’m loving the SM Store Makati’s Beauty Section’s new look. This upgrade definitely makes it the ultimate beauty destination in the metro. How about you? Have you dropped by and shopped from your favorite brands?
The SM Store Beauty Section is located at the ground floor of SM Makati
That’s exactly what I said when I saw this dress. It came in two other colors, green and black, plus a printed version, but I when I tried it on, everyone told me to get it already. I got this from the Lazada showroom which I blogged about previously, I was attracted to the details of this dress, the subtle paneling, and the flattering flare.
Not one to shy away from colors, I got it anyway. It works well with my complexion too, so that’s a plus. Aside from the fit, I always make sure a piece of clothing suits my skin tone. Trust me, sometimes, some colors just don’t work with you.
Tip when wearing bright colors, keep your accessories minimal. The dress is already a statement on its own, so no need to add anything or you might go over the top.
In my case I stuck to nude pumps and gold accessories to keep all the focus on my bright dress.
Warning for the next photo, please ignore my weird/awkward face and notice how swingy my dress is.
The dress is also comfy, with breathable lightweight but good quality material.
Btw, if you like this dress, it’s currently on sale at Lazada for 1,100 pesos! Stocks are running out so take advantage of the offer and gift yourself or a loved one a dress like this.
Notice the subtle paneling of the top part of the dress? I like that detail, adds a little elegance to it.
Here’s a close up look of my favorite glass locket and my charms!
For my charms I have P for my name, white pumps for fashion, an airplane for travel, a diary for writing, tea for my love for tea over coffee, the hamsa for protection, the violet amethyst stone for my birth month February, and lastly a breast cancer ribbon because I am a big supporter of cancer research especially for breast and cervical cancer.
Lazada, one of southeast Asia’s most popular online shopping site, has recently launched its in house fashion label called LZD. LZD is a line influenced by trends from the international catwalks, as well as vintage and Asian details. LZD seeks to dress every girl by showing her that fashion is fun, mixing different fashion styles, to create her own signature look.
I was lucky to see all the collections in person, as well as preview the LZD Premium collection coming out early next year.
I love the variety of the LZD label, there’s one for rocker chic, dainty dolls, sporty, casual, formal, and even hippie. With this wide selection, LZD is proud to tell everyone that there’s surely an item for every shopper out there.
Here’s the sneakpeek of the Premium collection I was telling you guys about. What’s different about this one from the rest of the line is that they’re using more expensive material and utilizing more complicated techniques. I’m personally eyeing those sequined dresses perfect for big nights.
For the in house label LZD, Lazada follows the three-F concept of Fit, fabric, and Fantastic Value.
Fit – LZD uses different cuts and silhouettes to flatter the Asian body type
Fabric – materials are carefully selected to be competitive globally, at the same time keeping the Southeast Asian aesthetic
Fantastic value – prices are accessible considering the quality and design
I love how everything i saw in that showroom is very up-to-date. A healthy mix of trendy items, as well as classic pieces with modern interpretations.
I have been online shopping ever since the year 2007. It all started with Multiply, then when Multiply closed down, shops moved to Facebook, then to Instagram, and to other e-commerce websites. Fast forward to 2012, I was introduced to Lazada by its many many ads online.
Attracted by the discounts and hassle free shopping, I bought my Fujifilm Instax camera from them, and got it on time. Up to now I still use that camera. After this event, I checked out the LZD line online, and found so many pieces I want to own! I currently have an incoming package I just ordered last night, and chose the Cash On Delivery option, so i don’t have to use a credit card.
I’ll update you guys with my LZD shopping experience when my package arrives!
Anne Marie Bodal, Lazada Fashion’s creative director, talked us through every set in the Lazada label.
here you can see the younger set, with more colorful options, and generous use of prints.
here’s elizabeth, telling everyone that the printed dress on top is one of their bestsellers, and I can see why.
Note that each Lazada fashion crew is decked out in full LZD, so you can personally see the fit of each one.
I have that pink dress btw. I got it straight off the rack because it fit me well. Another plus is, my mom loved the dress as well.
Here’s head stylist Naima showing us the sporty set. I love the simple no fuss silhouettes, as well as the breathable materials. I’m eyeing one top from this set online, but it’s not available yet, so I have to wait until next year. boo.
Then here’s Eleanora, who’s favorite set is this rocker chic section.
Spot me with the serious face, listening intently to the Lazada fashion representatives.
Then Naima shows us the fun and flirty Festival section, which sooo perfect for the popular music festivals these days!
They also have shoes and bags to complement the clothing line, also LZD. Spy that cute lavender bag? I’m getting the mint version of that. I’m so excited for my package to arrive!
Lazada also offers other international fashion brands like Motel Rocks, Free People, Rock and Religion, Neon Rose, Dead Lovers, Glamorous, and so much more.
Visit the Lazada Website, and check out the new LZD label! As of this writing, they have added more items, and some are even on 50% off!
Bloggers going wacky for the LZD photobooth at the showroom!
Thank you Lazada for having us! We had a lot of fun trying things out and learning more about the brand.

“Give every day the chance to become the most beautiful day of your life.” – Mark Twain
This is what I usually wear or a workday, simple, no fuss and classic. I take on more mature clothing, because what you wear really does say a lot about you. When going on client meetings and representing your company, you always want to look put together, but never over the top, else risk looking like you’re trying too hard.
This is what I always keep in mind nowadays, since I am getting older, and getting more comfortable in the workforce.
Some of you might remember this top from this post. I have been abusing it for the past year! I love love love how the sheer lace panel just adds a very elegant detail to an otherwise simple top. I also love the material of this top because it feels luxe, yet it’s so breathable unlike regular chiffon or crepe fabric.
Recently, I’m also trying out sartorialist-ish shoots, just to see if it looks okay with my style. I like the shots here, so I might do more sartorialist shoots in the future.
The photo below is my concept! I’m so proud. HAHA. I’m slorly doing better composition when it comes to photos, thanks to Nikon photography workshops, fellow bloggers, and Instagram. I am on a constant learning process when it comes to taking great photos.
These shoes are also used and abused recently because for jelly shoes, they’re so comfy! The scallop pointy design is also contributing to my classy uptown girl look.
A great investment for any girl at any age is a roomy tote that goes with anything. I use this t store a lot of my things, like folders and other files for work, then my camera, planner, makeup for my events.
What do you think of my everyday look?

See you guys on December 7 for Bloggers United 8, yes? I’ll be running around as part of the organizing team, so say hi when you see me.
