Month: February 2014

In Full Bloom

Hello everyone! How has your weekend been?

Mine has been wonderful, and I couldn’t ask for a better V-day weekend. I really felt the love, from family, friends, and of course, you know who you are, thank you! Thank you all for one of my happiest birthday celebrations last weekend, and of course, on the day of my birthday, Monday. Thank you for the surprises, I really appreciated them. Thank you Lord for granting me another wish this year, and blessing me with the wonderful people in my life right now.

I’m always so excited when my birthday month comes. Cheers everyone! For many more birthdays to come. 🙂

Since it was Valentine’s Day, I thought nothing could be more romantic than wearing a dainty floral dress. Since the dress had a really vibrant, busy floral print, I didn’t accessorize anymore.

Someone gave me a bouquet, yay! With my favorite stargazers too! Double yay! Stagazers smell great, and I always have them placed in a vase in our living room to keep our house smelling nice. Ahh, stargazers, you just make me smile every time I look at you.

My dress is made of light material, and it’s very flowy, so I wanted to show off the skirt by twirling around. I had a lot of fun in doing that, if you couldn’t tell by my expression. 🙂

Date tip: bring along a cardigan or a blazer, just in case the night gets chilly, or if you go and see a movie, you wouldn’t want to freeze yourself in this pretty dress now would you? I picked a neutral kn it cardigan so it doesn’t take away from my colorful dress, and you can apply the same principle to other cover ups.

On another note, watch out for more giveaways coming out this month! I just had a few meetings for collaborations this month, so go ahead and spazz with me! Yay!

Shout out to my mom who gave me this Pandora charm bracelet on my birthday! Thank you Mommy! It came with my first charm and two stoppers. Can’t wait to fill it up with more charms as I reach more milestones in my life!

And oh, don’t forget to hype this in Lookbook!

Sunkissed

While everybody else is posting Valentine’s date outfit ideas, here I am posting a beach look! It’s so hot in Manila lately, close to summer’s usual temperature, so I’m back to wearing summer looks.

Plus, I’m so excited about #LaBoracay2014 with my best college buds! I even got my new bikinis from Yamamay already! Yup, that’s how excited I am, I’m planning outfits for the trip, this early!

Anyhoo, back to my look, I got this romper from Bloggers United a few years back, if I remember correctly, I got this from Tin Iglesias. At first I was hesitant to buy it as the size is bigger than my usual size in Forever 21, but then I realized the loose fit was perfect for the laidback beach life.

To keep it all casual, I paired the romper with a nice pair of flipflops, and a keep all tote bag. The tote is actually a freebie I got from the Stradivarius launch last year, and I love it. The bag is so big, my friend can fit in it! Plus it was so convenient to tote around.

This henna tattoo is actually inspired from a photo I saw in Pinterest at one time. It means, love infinitely, something we should all do. Love is a rollercoaster ride, but that makes it worth it.

These photos were actually taken from last year’s trip to Boracay, but I never got the time to actually post them, so there.

Going to #Laboracay2014? Lemme know and let’s meet there, I’m sure there are lots of activities happening on that weekend. See you there!

Romper: Forever 21
Tote: Stradivarius
Flipflops: Bling Duck
Bracelet: D’Mall, Boracay Island

Adidas SS 2014 (Topshop and Jeremy Scott)

I’m baaaaaaaaaaaaaack! I’ve had so much to do lately, and so many commitments to fulfill that I have regrettably ignored this blog at the moment. No worries, I’m back! And ready with posts for you, along with a few more giveaways!

First things first, Topshop, one of the brands that I love, just announced a collaboration with adidas, another brand that I love. So yay!!

Topshop x adidas, an exclusive collaboration, bringing sportswear to fashion streetstyle. Reimagining heritage classics for the concrete catwalk, a unique take on the SS14 trends promises to pioneer an  range that will cement icons while pushing the limits of city styling. The Global  Launch for this collection is set on March 20, so mark your calenders and get excited with me!

In other adidas news, Jeremy Scott creates another standout collection for Spring Summer 2014

The collection marks the decade long creative relationship between adidas and the designer. The New York-based designer pushes ahead with his luxury sportswear vision and, as per usual, the focus lies on bold colours, qualitative fabrics and intricate prints. Scott’s signature design is visible throughout the collection, and one of the key themes for SS14 is the pearl embroidery tradition from London. The ‘Pearlies’, a nick name for East End street traders wearing suits decorated with pearl buttons, emerged in the late 18th century and peaked in the 1970s. For SS14, Scott put hand-stitched pearl buttons on heavy weight jackets and matching tracksuit bottoms with bondage details.

Scott is also sticking to the UK with his SS14 prints – and incorporating himself into the mix. All-over adidas logo prints are crowned with a digital photo print of Scott with a Union Jack face paint. Moving back to the US, Scott also honors his classic American sportswear heritage by offering a cropped and colourful football jersey with all-over haberdashery details and plastic numbers with two-tone gel inside, and a baseball shirt with all-over lace versions in monochrome tones and a grosgrain trim and satin-stitched adidas logo.

Other main pattern themes include the winged dollar sign (a Jeremy Scott signature), florals and leopard prints. Color-wise Scott re-focuses on the neon palette, either with a bomber jacket in yellow or perforated mesh tops and shorts in orange and green shades.

The SS14 footwear delves into luxury streetwear with the JS Instinct style appearing with a rainbow effect on a premium Italian leather, and the classic Rod Laver shoe model showing up in gold hues and lace jewellery. Newcomers include the TALL BOY shoe model, which – as the name indicates – is big in both size and ambition. Scott’s UK inspiration also colours the footwear through a bold Union Jack print on the adidas Letter Instinct trainer, which also comes in a leopard print. While the JS Profi Wedge shoe model continues the lace theme, the JS Wings Easy Five style comes in premium smooth gold leather for women, and the iconic Bones trainer is back with multi-coloured leather and gold Trefoil logo in the font, perfectly summing up not only the key themes for SS14 but also the core design DNA of the Jeremy Scott x adidas brand.

I love how colorful and bold the whole collection is, truly, Jeremy Scott sticks to his aesthetic, that of being a hot style rebel.
