my favorite romper from the Stradivarius fashion show
When brands like Forever 21, Uniqlo, Cotton On, hit the Philippine shores in the past few years, wanderlust shopaholics everywhere were praying fervently for the arrival of Bershka and Stradivarius. Since retails giants Mango and Zara, both from Spain, have been doing well for years now, the arrival of these two brands was inevitable.
Bershka and Stradivarius are also both Spanish brands, under the same mother company. They have distinct characteristics that set them apart from each other, without compromising their similar origin. Bershka is for the younger set, overflowing with bright colors and youthful energy, whereas, Stradivarius, inspired by music, attracts those who are into music, and laidback casual boho chic lifestyles.
I was so happy to be able to attend the official launching events of both brands, and here I am sharing to you what happened.
Although Stradivarius’ launching event happened after the Bershka one, I’ll talk about this one first, since I liked this launching better. I dunno, I guess, it just felt more prepared, and organized. Plus, I loved that they converted the whole activity center into an african oasis themed function. As host Julia Sniegowski said, “It feels like stepping into the Sex and the City 2 movie!”. I’m sorry for the lack of photos, but seriously, it was halfway between African safari and desert paradise.
Here, you can see the Zombettes spinning. Love ‘em, esp Zanya Smith. woohpie!
I really wanted this crochet top, but when I dropped by their store, they ran out in my size *tears. Anyhoo, I wore this outfit to the event btw. I just really wanted to be in theme. haha
Next up, the Bershka launching event:
The setup here was more intimate and exclusive, the store was only open to the invited guests, and a short program guided the flow. I didn’t enjoy myself much as there was almost nothing to do there, except ogle at the bright neon extremely youthful pieces. Sure cocktail food and drinks were served, but, seriously, I’m not one for just tiny bites of food. I really thought a fashion show was in order, especially since it was a launch. But the hey, I was invited, so I should stop hating now and talk about the more positive things about it.
Met the super siblings Daryl and Andre Chang, who were so down to earth, btw, esp. Andre.
With Alyssa, and Iya (visit her Vlog here!! She gives great tutorials and interviews) 🙂
And the lovely Saab Magalone, who’s writing I’ve always been a fan of.

Introducing Internation Spin Star, DJ Eve Speciall, she was awesome!
And, Oh, if you were wondering, this was what I wore for the event since the attire was Urban Streetstyle
P.S. Please don’t hate me for blogging less, internship has been using up my energy. I’ll try my best though, toodles!
P.P.S. I heard H&M is opening too, *crosses fingers. 🙂
