I feel really blessed this summer, with so many opportunities, and amazing adventures, I could not ask for more. Thank you Lord!
A few weeks ago, Manila’s leading watchstrap brand Asprey threw a party at Scarlet Wine Lounge, the Fort. They treated us to a party aptly named Blogger’s Night, where everyone was treated to great food, great company, and a whole lot of fun! Everyone invited was requested to bring old watches so Asprey can give our straps a real fashion update. With a wide selection of straps screaming fresh and fun, it’s no wonder everyone had a hard time picking out straps. 🙂 We were each given 2 straps of our choice, aside from the NATO strap given at the registration area. Yep, lots of freebies for us bloggers!
Asprey’s Brand Ambassadors with Marnie Chua and Roy
One part of the program was when bloggers participated in an online popularity game. We were told to upload our photo wearing our newly Asprey updated watches in the Asprey World of Straps Facebook Page. The 6 photos with the most likes win watches from LTimeStudio, and a set of watch straps each from Asprey! Sadly, I was not able to win, but hey, it was worth a try!
Thank you again Asprey for the wonderful event, I felt like a celebrity for a day!
P.S. I’ll be posting Asprey’s line of straps in my next post, so stay tuned!
Was able to attend the opening of the Promod Philippines Bonifacio High Street Branch, got to watch the program, with a fashion show, and an explanation behind the brand
Attended Asprey Blogger’s Night, which was soooo much fun(more on that on a later post).
Met a lot of people
1st time to get photographed by strangers in an event, and got compliments on my outfit too!
I was really happy that day (personal reasons).
Now on to the event, that is the focus of this entry. 🙂
Promod is a French brand that provides trendy, classic, and basic pieces that deserve to be in everyone’s wardrobe. Opening its 10th branch in the country, Promod presented its key looks for the season, as well as great ways to wear those beautiful pieces together.
My favorite look from the whole show
click read more for the rest of the looks from the fashion show, as well as the dress I bought with the GC I won!
Note: The Stylebible.ph team was in front of me, and because they are my idols, I did not attempt to stand in front of them for the photos. Haha, I respect them too much. 🙂
St. Tropez themed pieces. Nothing says summer like pastels and bright hues!
Allure Cocktails. Summer glam, yes? With embellishments such as sequins, and in tones of blush and nude, these pieces speak feminine and fresh, perfect for every confident woman.
FLUOS. Neons and brights are huge this summer season, gracing chic sportswear, and casual comfort, these pieces are must haves.
Ethno Metallic. With colors borrowed from nature, and hints of shine and glitter, these make for statement outfits.
Basics. New takes on classic styles make these pieces look updated, with an edge.
Vaudou. Tribal and ethnic prints take center stage, in beautiful cuts, and interesting colors.
Summer Rock. Inspired by rock stars, these graphic printed black and white pieces stole the show, despite the plain hues.
This day, was actually a very lucky day for me. Teehee, more on that on a later post 🙂
I was feeling really bouncy, light, fun, and happy that day, so I wanted a really colorful outfit to match my mood. What do you think? was I able to pull it off?
Now enough about my outfit, and on to the really great food, which was actually the reason behind the title of this post. 🙂
A few months ago, I purchased this Buffalo’s Wings N’ Things deal from Deal Grocer. Z and I were a huge fans of chicken wings, so we decided to try it, and boy did we have great time. 🙂
One thing that really got Z’s attention, were the choices for the sauce. He loved eating spicy food, so the flavors Nuclear, and Armageddon won him over, and we bought the deal immediately. We even got two coupons! which meant that instead of 300 pesos for every 500 worth of food, we got the 600 pesos for every 1000 worth. So yeah, we really ordered a lot. Everything was really affordable, so our 1000 pesos went a long way.
Overall, it was a great food experience, service was absolutely awesome! I highly recommend giving tips to the two-in-one waitress and cashier girl in the Sgt. Esguerra branch. She was very friendly, and knew a lot about the food, which was great since we had a lot of questions, plus, she catered to our every whim. Thumbs up for service!

Nachos with Jalapeno Cheese Sauce (Php124)
These were really good, had great crunch to every chip, right temperature and you can taste the jalapeno potently in the cheese. Just what we were hoping for. The salsa was good too, I’m very particular when it comes to salsa, and getting free refills of it, but this one did not disappoint. hoho.
Indeed, whatever this mini poster says is true. 🙂 (Sorry for the gleaming praises, I was a really satisfied customer!)
Triple Sampler (Php 394)
When you go there with a group, I highly recommend the triple sampler so you have options in case you end up not liking the sauce you picked. (In our case, we loved them all, so whatever. HAHA)
New York’s Finest- This was very good, and had the taste of the original buffalo wings recipe, vinegar based with cayenne pepper sauce. The spice was also mild, so this is best for those who can take only a little heat. 🙂
Armageddon (Dun dun dunnnnn…) This is for those who dare to eat a really spicy entree. I’m telling you, this gave me a lot of heat, I couldn’t get pass two bites! Sure it tasted great, but I really cannot take anything too spicy. I ended up eating the mild NY Finest, and Z ended up challenging himself to finish these. He was sweating halfway through the basket!
Honey BBQ- This is perfect for those who like it sweet, and prefer the non-spicy variety. It was the perfect blend of sweet and salty, it was savory, with a slight tang.
Bleu Cheese Burger (Php179) This burger, is a really good burger. LOL. Although it makes as one of the more expensive dishes on the menu, it felt like every peso I spent was worth it. The Bleu Cheese sauce was very generous, and the caramelized onions were cooked perfectly. In my personal opinion, the patties were just the right size for all the flavors to come together.
Dirty Chicken Fingers (Php 134) in Garlic Parmesan
These chicken fingers were just heaven. HAHA. The breading was cooked right, perfect crunch! The garlic parmesan was great in all its buttery goodness too!
We were surprised that they offered dessert items, so we tried this ice cream 🙂
NY Cheesecake Ice Cream (Php 84)
Lo and behold, I loved it! If it wasn’t really cold, I would have thought it was an actual cheesecake. That’s how close the flavors were to the cake version!
do forgive my enthusiasm, as I said before, I had a great time in the place!

now to what I wore:
outfit shots, yay!
These wedges are pretty comfortable even if they’re really tall, but in reality, here’s what I really wore.
Shoes from Hongkong, as pasalubong from Mum. 🙂
All food and restaurant photos by me, outfit shots by Z
I was feeling sad that my Boracay Trip with Alyssa was cancelled, so I dressed up in a beach theme that day. And here’s what I came up with! 🙂
Dress: H&M | Cover Up: Peaches On Top
What we did on day 3:
shoot some more
eat at Circles for Breakfast Buffet
From the minibar in our room. 🙂
I have a secret relationship with all kinds of Danish, particularly with this one. HAHA
Smoked salmon! I love salmon! and if I find ANY, I repeat ANY, salmon dish in a restaurant, I would most likely be ordering that above any seafood dish in the menu. I tried the samon sashimi too. The sashimi was one of the very few dishes available in the Japanese area of the buffet
click for more photos of the food, and for the minishoot photos. HAHA
Bread pudding! My favorite dessert when eating at any Makati Shangri-La buffet party. 🙂
I have a long standing relationship with camembert cheese, I can’t resist its creamy, gooey goodness.
The outfit above is actually what I wore for the mini shoot I had with my sister, just for the sake of wearing it. HAHA. At the time, I had no events to wear this to, so I just bullied my sister into taking my photo. 🙂 Plus the top and necklace are from my online shop’s latest collection, so it doubled as a photo for my shop too. 🙂
And oh, this look is very special to me as this was my first look to ever reach a hundred hypes 🙂 (forgive me for celebrating these milestones, I know they’re just very small feats, but they mean a lot me :))
Now this was what I actually wore, for the lazy day ahead. HAHA
My mom arrived from her HK-Vietnam trip last weekend, and here’s few of the stuff she brought home. 🙂
First up, look at the main photo! Those are lion shirts from Giordano. My mum said the salesperson inside Giordano said that these were called family shirts, so that when we travel together, we won’t get lost because we have matching tees. HAHAHAHA. my sister and I had a huge laugh because of this. WE NOW HAVE OFFICIAL FAMILY SHIRTS! yep, I can’t get over it. O.O
She also brought home a few items from H&M, and cute finds over at the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui. 🙂
I soooo love getting pasalubong!
And oh, check out my photologs of Macau and HK from last year’s Macau-Hongkong Family Trip 🙂
My sister and I tagged along our parents’ weekend stay at Makati Shangri-La Hotel for a convention. They attended a HONDA Dealer’s Convention, where the 3 day stay was filled with activities and events. My sister and I didn’t attend any of those activities or events, we just enjoyed the luxurious accommodations, very hospitable staff, and the many facilities Shangri-La has to offer. It doesn’t hurt too that the hotel is right across of Glorietta Mall and the Landmark, which kept me and my sister busy when we got tired of the hotel. harhar. Yes we got tired of the lazy lounge lifestyle. LOL
That weekend was just sooooooo easy, (queue breezy, beautiful, Covergirl. Kidding. I know. Corny.) We had mini photoshoots around the hotel too! That was actually my sister’s agenda, to look for nice greenery, and ask me to take photos so she can have more options for profile pictures in the future. HARDYHARHAR And because I took her photos, that means she has to take mine too! So there, that’s mostly how we spent the awesome weekend, not to mention great food in between!
Here you can see what I wore for Day 1, I wanted something very summery, so I opted for a hat (which my mom bought on her trip to Shanghai), sunnies from a new shop called Charlie, a cute summery top, and lightweight shorts. Plus a really comfortable pair of wedges. 🙂
What we did on Day 1:
Ate lunch at Saisaki/Dad’s (free lunch buffet c/o Honda!!!)
mini photoshoot inside the room, and at the pool area
Night swimming! (with my sister and kid brother! He stayed only for Day 1 as he had school the next day because of the bridging program for K+12)
Dinner at Landmark foodcourt with sibs (Our conscience cannot take it if we gatecrash the Honda Dinner Buffet at one of the function rooms of the hotel, so we ate out and let our parents get to their buffet dinner. ogles.)
Click read more for more photos of the food, the hotel, aaaand more outfit shots!
my mom’s invitation and event ID (blurred the name due to her request 🙂 Love you ma!)
Free stuffed toys from Saisaki!
I personally did not care about the macarons at all (brown pastry beside cream puff and eclair), but I liked the eclair, and the mousse (tall shot glass)
shot of my favorite Kimchi sushi!
There were actually a lot of food choices, but I got tired of taking photos due to hunger, so I gave in and ate. #sorryIneglectedmybloggerduties
Say hello to Patti Grandidge, endorser for Honda Scoopy, as the cover of the box containing my mom’s freebies.
Now off to the mini photoshoots!
My sister, with the emotera look. LOL
I love this floppy sunhat! with is a cross between a regular floppy wide brim hat, and a sporty sun visor. haha. It’s very easy to store because it’s foldable and rollable! yep, I really do love it. LOL
Dress (used as top): Sugar, SM Dept. Store | Peach Pleated Maxi Skirt, Collar Necklace, & Rings: Peaches On Top | Belt: MANGO | Boots: ZARA | Bag: Charles & Keith
I was invited to attend the Koi Swimwear Style Icon Line Launch at Prive Luxury Club last month, and I must say, despite a few mishaps, I enjoyed the event. The venue was packed, and everyone was indeed in their best summer glam outfit, which was the attire for the said event. 🙂
For my look, I tried going for boho chic since I don’t think I’ve ever tried it before, and I was pretty happy with the result. What do you think?
the photo above was actually taken at the fashion show finale, who: the Style Icons, with the event host, AND the beautiful faces behind the Koi Swimwear brand, Jade and Lace, in dead center. 🙂
For more about the event, and photos from the runway, click read more. 🙂
I told you the place was packed!
now for the show proper, presenting, the Koi Swimwear 2012 Collection
I loved this particular piece because a) it’s a bandeau, my bikini of choice and b) I fell in love with the colors!
I really love Koi Swimwear’s celebration of the beauty of women, from all shapes, and sizes. Nahiya naman ako sa confidence nila (models) on the runway! Hurrah for fiercely real girls embracing their vivacious bodies!
My absolute favorite would be the Lolita by Tricia G., it doesn’t show too much skin, but isn’t that conservative too. A huge plus is its very vintage feel, and the cute prints and colors that it is available in!
and before I forget, thank you Koi Swimwear for the great event! Loved what you see on the photos above? Order online from Koi Swimwear now!
And of course, any event will not be complete, without a mini photoshoot. harhar, thank you Alyssa for the awesome photos!
being the fangirl that I am, I went ahead and asked for a photo op. TEEHEE
The Met Gala! Click thumbs for my choices of noteworthy looks 🙂
Gisele Bundchen is my choice for best dressed because a) she looks stunning in her black gown, and b) she accessorized her already lovely self with hot hubby Tom Brady.
Camilla Belle’s dress is stunning, but her makeup just brought the whole thing down for me. I really don’t dig her dark lips at all.
Carey Mulligan’s uber shiny dress is a real showstopper, she definitely reflected all those paparazzi flashes!
Elizabeth Banks made a risky choice by donning that heavily printed gown, but I think all those prints were strategically placed so it doesn’t look gaudy. Anyhoo, eccentric as it is, I think it grew on me. 🙂
I love Emma Roberts’s gown as it was spot on for her age, and definitely reflects her style. The color, tangerine, was very flattering too, as well as the slight peplum, to give her figure a more curvy illusion.
Katherine McPhee was looked SMASHing in her salmon-hued gown. It was flattering in all the right places, and the low cut front definitely helped.
Kirsten Dunst was definitely unconventional in her vintage inspired look. The color was perfect for her complexion, and the styling was impeccable.
Nina Dobrev wore a great sequined gown, but I would have preferred another hairstyle. The side bun was just too matronly for the young actress.
Rosario Dawson was a knockout in her belted leather gown. It showed off her fab figure, and her toned arms too! Definitely a great way to showcase her assets.
I love Scarlett Johansson, and her dress did her vivacious figure justice, but her choice of hairstyle was really unfortunate. Her tousled hair simply did not match the gown, or the occasion.
So that’s my red carpet report of my favorite event in New York. 🙂
