Hagar the Horrible + Birthdays :)

My favorite part of Sunday Comics happens to be Hagar the Horrible, hence the title, and he was a Viking. and the connection lies in the next picture. πŸ™‚

Last Sunday Sept. 11, my family went to Vikings for lunch to celebrate my father’s (Sept.12) and brother AJ’s (Sept. 14) birthdays. The food was absolutely great, I loved everything! LOL. fan much? Among my favorites in the buffet line were the Angus Steak, Philadelphia Roll, Lamb Chops, Baby Back Ribs, and the dimsum. πŸ™‚ I’m telling you, the selection was huge, and had almost every cuisine you can think of.

The place was separated into four main buffet areas, The first area had everything Asian, from Dimsum to Sushi to Herbal Soup to Shabu-Shabu staples and Peking Duck. Another buffet table (the one with the Viking Hat) had a salad bar and a few other appetizers, while the one with the figurehead had mostly variations of rice and a few main entrees like the Baby Back Ribs. the last area was my favorite, the grill and Western food area, the steaks were yum! Other areas include the awesome dessert bar, with cereal, frozen yogurt and ice cream concoctions. πŸ™‚ and lastly, the beverage bar, filled with juices, sodas, and their special beer πŸ™‚

Meet my family! (Clockwise from top left) younger sis Miya, younger brother Nathan, Mom, Birthday boys AJ and Dad, me πŸ™‚ please don’t mind the waiter holding the happy birthday pole

I loved the waiters, they were all so hyper with singing birthday songs, I think they sang about 6 songs at our table alone, a medley of novelty songs and the classic happy birthday song.

Buffet Table No. 2. Like the iconic Viking hat!

Buffet Table No. 3 with the Figurehead πŸ™‚

We went to SM MoA after for some shopping, and here’s our loot for the day!

DESSERT!

Mooncakes! Since it was the Mid-Autumn Festival the next day, it was great they served mooncakes πŸ™‚

My favorite sushi roll is the Philadelphia Roll, the yellow rice one, it had cheese inside, CHEESE!

avocado ice cream πŸ™‚

Sadly, I wasn’t able to take any pictures of the steaks, my appetite betrayed me. πŸ™‚

My sister and I got so full, we decided to walk around the place to get our metabolism going. We ended up having a mini-photoshoot outside the restaurant, despite the strong wind that was blowing.

Of Feathers and Impulse Buys

My stress busters include retail therapy, eating tons of cheesecake and ice cream, and adorable DIY projects, so when you see me stressed out, you’ll prolly find me do any one of those three things. πŸ™‚

So after a gruesome week in school one weekend, I went shopping. TEEHEE.

Plus points goes to Forever 21 Makati for having a sale that time, and here’s my loot. πŸ™‚

Silk blend Tiered Skirt, and Gray Suede Boat Shoes ( I bought my sister pants too, forgot to take a picture though)

Forgive the dirty shoes, as before I took this picture, I used this pair twice already. That’s how much I love it!!! i’ve been meaning to buy a pair of boat shoes for the longest time now, and this came at the best timing ever. I call this pair, my DADDY BOAT SHOES. LOL. It’s masculine but also just too adorable, so I took it off the rack in a heartbeat (Not to mention the price was down to P875.00 from the original P1600++). STEAL!

Me = Happy Shopper πŸ™‚

Feathers! So I jumped in the Feather bandwagon, the colors got me hooked!!!

See the orange, blue and green feather earrings? I MADE THEM! I’m so proud. I just bought a few feathers, earring hooks, plus the crimp beads and VOILA! Still thinking if I’ll sell them though, watcha think?

This Aqua Feather Fringe necklace, was an impulse buy. I’m thinking of selling it soon, because I haven’t figured out how to rock it yet. But then again, inspiration may strike at the most unexpected times. πŸ™‚ So, we’ll see.

My biggest weakness = earrings. These things were the ones that got me into crafting in the first place! The first accessory I made and sold was a pair of simple dangling earrings (I wonder if I still have those though.. Hmm, time to sort out my accessories collection)

I fell in love with these fabric bangles the moment I saw them. πŸ™‚ They actually came in a set with two other thin wooden bangles (see previous photo). PLUS!!

moustache ring from Elle Poupee’

and lastly, my favorite buy of the moment, this blush rose three ring set. It looked like something you’d see in ALDO or Call It Spring, without the hefty price tag πŸ™‚ (*cough cough* I actually also sell a white version of this ring set like in the shop. πŸ™‚ click!)

Happy weekend everyone!

Pretty Prints

If you follow me on twitter, you might remember me tweeting something about DO-NOTHING-ACADEMIC-DAY. πŸ™‚

So here’s what I did!!!

I started with a cutter, glue, and tons of pretty printed wrapping paper leftover from last year’s lantern parade props πŸ™‚

aaaaaand, TADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! product:

Actually, the purpose for this whole wrapping project is to replace the tiny plastic bags I normally use for Peaches On Top, because, well, I ran out of plastic. LOL. I had no time to buy more plastic bags and I had a lot of orders to be shipped for the next day, hence the impromptu wrapping project.

Aaaaaand, it’s timely, the BER months are here! I can wrap each order with love for giving this Christmas! Teehee. πŸ™‚
