Coachella Hangover

image

As if the title doesn’t say it all. Let me lay it down for you. I have always been fascinated with Coachella, the music, the art, the people, and the partying. Coachella weekend is where everybody lets loose, and take music: indie, hippie, artsy fartsy music, on steroids. During Coachella, you’re only job is to enjoy the music, and have fun.

Pragmatic

For some odd reason, I picture this look as something a modern day Jane Austen character would wear. This would look good for either Jane or Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice, yes?

The look is conservative, simple, but still interesting, thanks to details here and there. Also, this one is a look you can take from business casual, to flirty date. Just switch up your accessories, and you’re good to go.

Clean and White

image

I’ve been wearing only white for more than a month now, for reasons I haven’t told you guys yet. I will though, soon. :)

For this post, I’ll be showing you guys two sets of photos. I wore the same look to two events I went to this month, and couldn’t decide which set to post, so I decided to post them both. :)

Party Girl Rock

It annoys me that the December breeze was nowhere to be found. WHYYYYY??? The chilly weather is what I’ve always looked forward to when the ber months arrive, but sadly, no breeze for me. boo. The breeze is the only thing that can allow the people in our country to pull off fall/winter clothing, but noo, it doesn’t come for us. aaack.

I have a thing for comfortable pullovers, and this blue shimmery one instantly caught my eye. If this had a voice, it would prolly say to me, “Buy me Phya, I’ll be a perfect addition to your closet.. buy meeee” in that airy spooky voice. haha I actually already saw this one at the last Supersale bazaar, but since I already told myself that I would not purchase anything priced above 400 pesos, I didn’t buy it as it was priced at 500 that time.

Pantone

Pantone announces the color of 2013 as… (drumroll please) EMERALD GREEN!

This came as a bit of a problem for me as I wasn’t a huge fan of green, and didn’t have a lot of greens in my closet. This prolly stemmed from the fact that I’ve been wearing a forest green skirt as my uniform for 13 years. hoho. and with my high school school having most of the area painted in green. You really can’t blame me, right?

Well anyway, since this year is the year of the green shades, I was really happy that I got this emerald green circle top from Flattering Tops. I’d already worn it to a lot of places, but had yet to take outfit shots with it. Which is such a shame since it’s a really comfortable item of clothing, I’ve worn it to shoots, to Christmas shopping days, to social gatherings, it’s made of light cotton material which makes it easier to move in, perfect for days when you don’t want to think too much about your outfit.

Holiday Dressing

I’m big on dressing for NYE, and have a lot of fond memories of staying up late until the wee hours of the morning. The laughter, fun and games, fascination with sparklers, the whole shebang. You really can tell that I love New Year’s Eve. So yeah, I dressed up. What do you think? Is it too much?

Native

I’ve been wanting to wear this fringe top from One TRF ever since I got it, and after seeing this post from Alyssa’s blog, I decided to wear it in the same formula. Hippie band + top + denim shorts + boots = A not so me look, but it turned out great anyway. :)

In A Rush

I recently blogged about a Fashion Blogging Workshop by no other than blogger couple Love Chic Seph and Shai. Since the attendees were respectable and reputable fashion bloggers, I had to make sure my outfit was worthy of their presence. haha.

Thank God Shop Nita sent me this dress just a few days before. Not only did I have a dress to wear to the aforementioned event, it was also perfect for my next agenda that day. I also had to go to CCP after, to watch Phantom of the Opera, so this dress was perfect since the attire when watching plays was smart casual. Talk about being multi-purpose, this dress is definitely a keeper. And oh, don’t you just love the back cutout? If you haven’t noticed, I’m a sucker for surprises at the back. :)

All That Glitters

Here’s what I wore to Sophie Paris’ 10th Anniversary Celebration a few weeks ago, which I blogged about here. When I was told that the theme was Brazilian Samba, I was literally scrambling for something to wear.

Since samba was very theatrical, with all the shimmer, sequins, feathers and glitters, I decided to go with an outfit that screamed “Look At ME!!!”. Good thing I remembered having this sequin top from H&M which I got a few years back, and this skirt that I got from Paradise Treats, they go well together, yes?
