Tradition

I promised you guys an explanation as to why I’ve been wearing white a lot lately, and here goes.

*Note, this is pretty emotional and close to my heart, so if you aren’t into that, jump  to my other posts instead.

Happy Colors

image

This dress easily makes a statement, with its bright colors and bold print, it is sure to be a showstopper. Which is why, the moment I decided that I’d get it, I thought I should wear it to an event, or to any significant gatherings. Incidentally, on the day I actually wore the dress, I was sort of in a lazy dressing state, but since it was fashion week, I thought this would be the right time to wear the dress out.

When wearing fully printed dresses, I find it best to keep accessories at a minimum, as the look is already busy as it is. Ditch the armparty and go with just one classic watch, with a thin bracelet. As for the earrings, you have the option to go big, with huge rhinestone dangling earrings, or simple pearls. For shoes, I suggest wearing one in neutral colors, so as not to take any attention away from the focal point of your look, the colorful digiprint dress.

leave a comment and let me know what you think of my look, yes?

Brunch, Shopping and Everything in Between

Cute things in a quaint little store inside Shoppesville

Still the same shop, I want those Paris boxes!

It was a typical Sunday for the family, brunch out, shopping, walking around, and just plain family bonding. Too bad my brother Nathan wasn’t around, boo for his medtech internship.

Anyhoo, the day started out with going to the Legazpi Village Sunday Market at Makati. If you’ve been to Mercato, it’s similar, except there’s also a space for dry merchandise, meaning even furniture, bags, shirts and things were also sold, aside from the huge amounts of food and drinks all over the place. I honestly liked this market a lot, compared to Mercato, since in my opinion, there were more food choices available, making each member of my family satisfied with our own picks. In this Sunday Market, you’ll surely find something that’s perfectly suited to your personal preferences, because of the wide selection.

After brunch, we went to Ronac Art Center as I really wanted to check out the ETC Fashion Flea Market. The setup was cute with lampposts giving shoppers directions (photo above). I was expecting a much bigger assortment of shops since ETC is huge, being a channel and all, but then again, the booths that were there had beautiful items, so I’m not complaining. Plus, the bazaar is for a good cause, and a good cause is always enough for me to go to an event. :)

Our last stop for the day was Greenhills Shopping Center, since we were already in the area. And yes, I shopped!

I took this photo last summer, it didn’t mean anything to me then. It was just a heart shaped candle, a novelty. But in this dreadful weather, I find it as a symbol, standing for all the love every Filipino has for his/her loved ones.
Let us all pray for the Philippines, especially in the areas already in the state of calamity.
Keep safe everyone.
As for those of us stuck at home because of the flood, let us use social media to do what we can.
Lastly, I thank the Father Almighty for keeping me and my family safe in our home.

Fridates & Family Time

Gavino’s Gummy Bear Donut

I love going places, and hanging out with great people. Fridates, that’s what I call it anyway, are Fridays when I go out with the most amazing people, because well, I don’t have any classes scheduled on Fridays, as I really wanted my Fridays free. one particular fridate, I hung out with one of my bros from another mother, Vonn. Seriously, if I wasn’t his friend, I would think he was gay, he just has sooooo many things to say about the female physique, and beauty in general. But yeah, as much as he is my gay friend, he is actually straight, so there. LOL. Vonn, if you ever read this, don’t kill me. FALALALA

We had lunch at Greenhills Towncenter, at Red Buffalo, then headed to Gavino’s for dessert. After eating, we went to Greenhills to get my new phone a screen protector, Happy Lemon, and a bit of shopping. To be honest, I missed Vonn, and we had a lot of catching up to do, so I had a lot of fun. Till the next one bro!

After dinner, my family went to BGC because my brother Nate had to claim his membership thing/poker chip at Titan Burgos Circle. I had to crop by Bar Dolci for some macarons, then mi familia headed to Bonifacio High Street for a bit of shopping, hanging out at Fully Booked, and snacks.

So there, that pretty much sums up one of my usual fridates. :) (Details with the photos after the jump :))

P.S. to the anon who asked which high school I graduated from, it’s Saint Jude Catholic School (referring to the same HS with Camille Co perhaps?).

P.P.S. Grab the latest issue of Candy Magazine, you’ll see me at the All The Rage spread!

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings - definitely good for Chicken Wings, not dry, but not too oily either. The garlic parmesan was great too, especially if you’re a fan of the cheese

Bar Dolci Dolcitas, I haven’t tried these, but I hear they’re great. :)

Hotel Happy Day 2

Outfit 1

The outfit above is actually what I wore for the mini shoot I had with my sister, just for the sake of wearing it. HAHA. At the time, I had no events to wear this to, so I just bullied my sister into taking my photo. :) Plus the top and necklace are from my online shop’s latest collection, so it doubled as a photo for my shop too. :)

Top and Necklaces: Peaches On Top | Mullet Skirt: J’Adore La Mode | Wedges: Icah

And oh, this look is very special to me as this was my first look to ever reach a hundred hypes :) (forgive me for celebrating these milestones, I know they’re just very small feats, but they mean a lot me :))

Outfit 2

Now this was what I actually wore, for the lazy day ahead. HAHA

Cover Up: Peaches On Top | Tank: Gift from Alyssa | Shorts: Jellybean | Wedges: Icah

To be honest, the 2nd outfit is my current summer uniform. cover up + tank + shorts, so laidback, yes?

On day 2: Here’s what I did:

  • Ate breakfast in bed! Woot! Waffles and croissants yo! :)
  • Photoshoot some more
  • Looked for shoe options that would match my mom’s nude colored gown by Jerome Salaya Ang (which she was going to wear for the gala night that day)
  • I had to go to school for a few hours for a meeting
  • but went back to the hotel when my role was finished. haha
  • Ate at the Glorietta foodcourt
  • lounged around the room. LOL

Goodies from Hongkong!

My mom arrived from her HK-Vietnam trip last weekend, and here’s few of the stuff she brought home. :)

First up, look at the main photo! Those are lion shirts from Giordano. My mum said the salesperson inside Giordano said that these were called family shirts, so that when we travel together, we won’t get lost because we have matching tees. HAHAHAHA. my sister and I had a huge laugh because of this. WE NOW HAVE OFFICIAL FAMILY SHIRTS! yep, I can’t get over it. O.O

She also brought home a few items from H&M, and cute finds over at the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui. :)

I soooo love getting pasalubong!

And oh, check out my photologs of Macau and HK from last year’s Macau-Hongkong Family Trip :)

Hotel Happy Day 1

My sister and I tagged along our parents’ weekend stay at Makati Shangri-La Hotel for a convention. They attended a HONDA Dealer’s Convention, where the 3 day stay was filled with activities and events. My sister and I didn’t attend any of those activities or events, we just enjoyed the luxurious accommodations, very hospitable staff, and the many facilities Shangri-La has to offer. It doesn’t hurt too that the hotel is right across of Glorietta Mall and the Landmark, which kept me and my sister busy when we got tired of the hotel. harhar. Yes we got tired of the lazy lounge lifestyle. LOL

That weekend was just sooooooo easy, (queue breezy, beautiful, Covergirl. Kidding. I know. Corny.) We had mini photoshoots around the hotel too! That was actually my sister’s agenda, to look for nice greenery, and ask me to take photos so she can have more options for profile pictures in the future. HARDYHARHAR And because I took her photos, that means she has to take mine too! So there, that’s mostly how we spent the awesome weekend, not to mention great food in between!

Here you can see what I wore for Day 1, I wanted something very summery, so I opted for a hat (which my mom bought on her trip to Shanghai), sunnies from a new shop called Charlie, a cute summery top, and lightweight shorts. Plus a really comfortable pair of wedges. :)

What we did on Day 1:

  • Ate lunch at Saisaki/Dad’s (free lunch buffet c/o Honda!!!)
  • mini photoshoot inside the room, and at the pool area
  • Night swimming! (with my sister and kid brother! He stayed only for Day 1 as he had school the next day because of the bridging program for K+12)
  • Dinner at Landmark foodcourt with sibs (Our conscience cannot take it if we gatecrash the Honda Dinner Buffet at one of the function rooms of the hotel, so we ate out and let our parents get to their buffet dinner. ogles.)

22nd

This won’t be a long post, I just wanted to show you guys how simple my birthday celebration with my family was. :)

We initially wanted to go somewhere more posh than Ayala Triangle Gardens, but I was not in the mood to think about where to eat since I was already tired from my Pampanga trip. I just wanted a Banoffee Pie for my birthday cake. LOL

We finally decided on Wee Nam Kee since we really love it there. Singaporean Food is one of the great Asian cuisines that everyone should experience. :)

I’m not going to make this a food review as Wee Nam Kee has already earned a lot of praises and they don’t need mine anymore, plus, we should let the food speak for themselves. :)

Banoffee Pie!

Seafood Hotpot

Hainanese Chicken

Salted Fish Fried Rice

Caramia Tequila Rose for dessert! Yum!
