Pretty Ingenious

This season, I watched and will be watching a total of 10 shows. A far cry from the mere 3 I watched last season.

On my Day 1 (October 24, 2011) of PFW, I watched the L’Oreal presents Michael Cinco and Guess shows. Michael Cinco’s was the best one I’ve seen so far. Those gowns, I die.

So to get you started, here’s what I wore on day 1:

Z and I went to Toast Box in Robinsons Ermita because I really liked Toast Box. LOL. aaaand, I wasn’t able to take pictures last time i was there. :(

What we ordered: French Toast Set and Laksa

I recommend this French Toast as it was fried to perfection, but if you like a more Singaporean set, try the Classic Kaya Toast. It’s actually my favorite set (Kaya), since the first time I tried it back in Singapore almost 2 years ago.

The laksa was very good, even though I don’t normally favor spicy food, this was too good to pass up. :) On the other hand, I really thought they were scrimping on ingredients as there was only one shrimp on top. The serving was big though, so i guess that compensated for the lack of shrimp.

The interiors were were very white, with not much fuss, and cozy as well.

Being an avid multiply shopper and seller for years, attending this event was a must for me. So when Multiply asked if I can provide giveaways in exchange for invites and publicity, I immediately said yes. I brought along Alyssa, Fran, and Sacki (a.k.a Z in some of my posts) to the party, I actually had one other ticket in excess because my other friend Michelle couldn’t go because of an exam the next day. She and I were actually taking the same exam, but since I really wanted to attend the party, I studied in advance. :) Now enough about me, onto the party!!

The event was highlighted with a fashion show, which really showed how Multiply Shopping really has almost everything.

The beautiful and funny Bianca Valerio hosted the event, check out her stockings!

Before I end this post, I’m leaving you with my favorite product from Benefit, Dandelion, a highlighting powder. :) I was last able to buy a Benefit product, last 2009 during my Singapore trip, which is why it’s so great that they’re finally here!

Guilty. Of spending too much for the past weeks. Shopping is just so therapeutic, when I don’t get access to a spa I mean.

Penshoppe was having a huge sale, and everything was 30% off, so I bought 2 dresses. What made me feel good about buying was when the cashier told me that 25 pesos from my P1000++ purchase would go to a charity of my choice, courtesy of golden ABC.

This card came with my receipt, and this has the code I needed to pick my charity.

It feels great shopping for a cause, *wink wink*

Net-A-Porter at the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party

It was so unfortunate that I wasn’t able to bring the camera to this date. :(

Anyway, the photo above was taken a few hours before dinner, and that was what I wore that day :)

Z and I had dinner at this cozy place called Harbor View Restaurant, which describes itself as:

A Filipino Seafood restaurant that sits at the edge of the Manila Bay where one can enjoy breathtaking views of the World Famous Manila Bay Sunset and the Manila Skyline whilst dining with friends and family!

The restaurant sits atop Manila Bay, and it’s Al fresco dining area is simply breathtaking (talk about literally dining at the harbor, water everywhere!), the view was beautiful. Sadly, it was raining that day so we didn’t get to witness the sunset Manila Bay is well known for. At night however, the city lights up to a spectacle that leaves diners in awe.

Take note: It was my first time eating there. :)

The food was great, you can tell the seafood was really fresh catch of the day. What we had were, Oysters Rockefeller, Chili Prawns, and Baked Salmon.

Oysters Rockefeller. This was very good, I couldn’t stop eating! The temperature was right, cheese was oozing, and the flavor. I can’t even begin to describe it’s awesomeness. I even ate Z’s portion. Sorry Z, you know I really love my oysters :)

Chili Prawns. Z loved this dish very much, sweet and spicy, this was the perfect mix of both. Even with the serving having only 4 huge prawns, it was enough to fill us both.

I couldn’t find any pictures of the Baked Salmon, so I’ll just describe it. Cheese, mayonnaise, garlic, and Potato wedges, add these up and you come up with the Baked salmon entree. The salmon itself was baked with the cheese, mayonnaise and garlic, and it was perfect. The salmon had this crispy crust, and the cheese just simply complements the whole thing. The Fried Potato Wedges that came with the salmon was just as good, being reasonably seasoned, even as a side dish.

Overall, I loved my Harbor View experience, I left the place with a very happy stomach :)

I ordered the Sukiyaki which was sooooooo good :) The meat was perfectly marinated :)
